When the background is exported, the data is split into square tiles of data.
Any item which overlaps the edge of a tile is included in both tiles.
Smaller tiles draw faster in the field, but the overall data size is larger because of the overlaps.
Larger tiles can be slower to draw, but take up less space on the device.
In order to search, an entry ust be made in the FM_ESRI_Bkgnd.ini file.
[SETTINGS] GRIDSIZE=200 AddressField=FULLADDRES
Add an Addressfield entry to the [SETTINGS] section. This specifies the field name to use for the search function.
When a street name is typed into the search box, the system will attempt to find the name in the specfied field (it looks in all loaded layers to find the field).
Any results are shown in the grid below the search box.
Double clicking an item will centre the map over that item.
When the export button is clicked the user will be asked to choose an empty folder for the export.
The system will then create several subfolders (one for each layer) in this folder.
The layers should now be availabel for selection in the map control overlays dialog.
